ABOUT THE ROLE

Purpose

This role assists in performing audits and assessments of the organization’s financial, operational, and compliance processes. This entry-level position supports senior audit staff by gathering data, analyzing information, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The Associate Analyst plays a key role in the execution of audits and helps provide insights into risk management, efficiency, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data from various departments to evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Document audit findings and prepare working papers to support audit conclusions and recommendations.
  • Identify weaknesses or inefficiencies in processes and suggest areas for improvement in internal controls and risk management.
  • Assist in preparing audit reports for senior management, outlining key findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Support the audit team with the follow-up on audit recommendations and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in risk assessments and control evaluations to help assess potential areas of vulnerability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant audit standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather information and understand processes during audits.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and report preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in audit documentation and findings.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve audit objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in the internal audit profession, staying current with industry trends and standards.

Certifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
